My first meal

For my first meal in India, I decided to go for it. When in Rome and all of that! So, for breakfast I had masala dosa, sambar and ginger and peanut chutney! YUM!

Warm Welcome

My flight to India was long, but uneventful. I traveled Economy Plus on British Airways so I had extra legroom and great service! I was welcomed at the airport by Gopi and then whisked off to my home for the next three weeks, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace. I will admit that it was a bit surprising when the guards at the gate to the hotel searched the underneath of the car with a mirror and opened the trunk to peruse, but I know it was for safety sake! The hotel is lovely, but I didn't have much time to enjoy it as I promptly fell asleep. I had an appointment for Prasad to pick me up at 2pm and take me to the ValueLabs office. When I got to the office, Dr. Raghu was there to greet me and it was nice to see a familiar face! I was then overwhelmed to be greeted by a more than a dozen beautiful women dressed in saris who proceeded to don a bindi on my forehead. Needless to say, I felt very welcome! I look forward to working with these wonderful people.

Tomorrow tomorrow

Tomorrow I am going to India. I will be spending about three weeks in Hyderabad for work. I am beyond excited. I plan to keep you posted on my experiences here! Note that I thought about calling this Wall in India since I am going on my own, but I hope that my husband and family may accompany me at some point, so I defaulted to Walls in India. You never know where these Walls will go!
